Community CAMHS. High intensity to specific pieces of work. Short term Primary Care based. Preventative brief intervention work. Students would have caseloads working alongside a clinician. Description of related services & Client Family Therapy – student could be part of reflecting team. Later in the group placement, the student would have the possibility to be involved in family therapy sessions. Group facilitation (Young People’s Groups, Parent groups) Psychiatrists, managing medication, higher risk. CBT therapists. Psychologist/Psychotherapist. Youth Offending Team. Children’s Ward – Play therapist. Paediatric Meetings. Child Protection Lead Nurse. IRIS (Drug and Alcohol). Specialist Schools (Island Learning Centre/St George’s). IOW Schools. Youth Trust (Counselling Service). Family Information Zone (FIZ). Children’s centres. Health Visitors – developmental. Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Young Carers /YMCA CAF’s/TAF’s Self-esteem/Coping Skills/Facing your Fears/Timid to Tiger groups School – School nurse Classroom assistance </p><p>All relevant policies and procedures relevant to the learning environment can be accessed via the Intranet LEARNER INFORMATION Work Pattern (Start, finish times) 9-5 Mon - Fri (half an hour lunch break taken between 12 and 2) Dress Code UoS uniform policy in conjunction with IOW NHS Trust dress code policy </p><p>Induction/Orientation programme Organisational induction by Clinical Education Team followed by local induction within clinical area</p><p>Staff / rest room facilities Coffee room, with kitchen, shower room</p><p>Expectations during placement Expect that students contact the team prior to placement to discuss start time and obtain a welcome pack. We expect students to turn up on time. Join in with the team, be keen and interested. Be professional, have completed research, keep professional boundaries. Ensure confidentiality. Communicate to your mentor if you are linked to a family.
