<p> Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls</p><p>2 c. whole wheat flour</p><p>1 T. dry yeast 2 c. bread flour</p><p>1 3/4 c. very hot tap water</p><p>3 T sugar 1 t. salt 3T. oil </p><p>Day 1 </p><p>1. In large mixing bowl combine whole wheat flour and yeast. </p><p>2. Stir well.</p><p>3. Add hot tap water. </p><p>4. Beat with spoon until a smooth batter forms.</p><p>5. Add sugar, salt, oil. </p><p>6. Mix well.</p><p>7. Add 1 cup of bread flour to above mixture and mix.</p><p>8. Add second cup of bread flour gradually until dough becomes too stiff to stir.</p><p>9. Turn out onto lightly floured surface for kneading. </p><p>10. Knead 6 - 8 minutes or until dough becomes smooth and elastic. Note: Add only a minimum of flour during kneading.</p><p>11. Shape dough -dinner rolls – divide dough in half, then half again, and then half again – until the size of a 2” ball of dough. Makes 12-16</p><p>12. Put in pan. </p><p>13. Put kitchen name on pan.</p><p>14. Let rise until end of class.</p><p>15. Teacher will put in refrigerator.</p><p>Day 2</p><p>16. Turn oven to 350 degrees . Bake for 20 minutes. 17. Remove from pans at once. Put on rack and cool.</p><p>Enjoy!</p><p>Yield – 12 – 16 dinner rolls</p><p>Don’t forget to bring a plastic bag or container to take home bread.</p>
