Theme: (1) Love and jealousy are strong motivators. (2) Not all decisions are fair.</p><p>6. Suspense: What will happen to the lover?</p><p>7. Mood: slightly uncivilized, ambiguous</p><p>8. Foreshadowing: King and princess are semibarbaric, princess is jealous</p><p>9. Symbolism: Arena = warped sense of justice, tiger = guilt, lady behind the door = innocence or mercy</p><p>10.
