Nasopharynx Soft palate Hard palate Oropharynx Glottis Laryngopharynx Larynx Vocal cords Trachea</p><p>Know the structure of the larynx and function:</p><p>Hyoid bone Epiglottis- specific tissue making up structure Thyroid cartilage- specific tissue making up structure Cricoid cartilage - specific tissue making up structure Arytenoid cartilage Trachea- specific tissue making up “rings” of this structure specific tissue which lines this structure</p><p>Know the structure and functions of the lower respiratory tract:</p><p>Trachea Primary bronchus Secondary bronchus Terminal bronchi Bronchiole Alveolar ducts Alveoli- tissue which makes up these structures Capillaries</p><p>Note the diagram showing the relationship of the alveoli and the pulmonary capillaries</p><p>Note the muscles involved in the respiratory process</p>
