<p> September 2-5, 2014 Words of Wisdom</p><p>From the third grade classroom of Ms. Ivey</p><p>Here’s what we are learning:</p><p>English Language Arts: We are learning to write and answer questions using the R.A.P. strategy. Ask your child to rap the RAP strategy! We are learning to identify nouns: proper nouns, common nouns, singular and plural nouns. We are continuing to practice writing sentences with capital letters and correct punctuation.</p><p>Math: We are learning to compare and order numbers. We are learning to read a number line. </p><p>Unit of Inquiry (Science and Social Studies): Transdisciplinary Theme: Where We Are in Place and Time. Central Idea: Earth is a unique place to live. This week we will be learning about the Earth’s role in our solar system.</p><p>Announcements: If you have not already, please log into www.classdojo.com using your phone, tablet, or laptop computer and use your parent code to connect with our class.
