<p>Machine Knit Scalloped Edge Band </p><p>T – Same as garment</p><p>CO with waste yarn a few rows and ravel cord</p><p>RC000 Attach MC yarn. Form a small hem by knitting 5 R</p><p>Pick up first row of knitting of MC stitches with double eye tool and hang into the latches of needles to form that hem</p><p>Loosen T by 1</p><p>Pull all needles clear out and close latches</p><p>K 1 R</p><p>Change back to garment T</p><p>Select every 9th needle (or however often you desire) and pull those needles all the way out to Hold</p><p>Set machine to HOLD to NOT knit those needles</p><p>Slowly knit 3 – 4 rows – checking frequently to make sure the needles on either side of the ones in hold do not pop off. Use weights on each scallop and pull those 2 side needles out just a bit to keep them from popping off</p><p>Knit a total of 6 rows unless yarn is really thick then do less – (because the yarn builds up too much on top of those needles in hold if thick)</p><p>Pull all needles to HOLD – make sure 2 needles beside each 9th pulls out without dropping stitch</p><p>Turn off HOLD setting and knit across – checking to see if all stitches knit right Knit 2 more R</p><p>Continue to follow pattern directions if making a garment</p><p>If making a band – K a few rows of waste yarn, remove weights and remove from machine</p><p>To attach band to garment:</p><p>Hang side of garment onto machine with double eye tool; push behind latches but don’t pull needles clear out – just in forward working position hang with right side facing out</p><p>Hang band into the latches with right side facing the garment</p><p>Close latches and pull through by hand – knit by hand all the way across; Bind off with a backstitch bind off</p>
