The Civil Service Commission oversees a merit system of selection and retention of County employees in the classified service as authorized by the Fresno County Ordinance (http://library2.municode.com/default-test/home.htm? infobase=16361&doc_action=whatsnew) and Personnel Rules (http://www.co.fresno.ca.us/DepartmentPage.aspx?id=4806). The attorney must be licensed by the State Bar of California and should be experienced in employment, labor and administrative hearing law including some governmental legal experience.
