<p>Community Garden project</p><p>Note.</p><p>Aims and objectives To provide a community space which includes provision for the following, and that is entirely community managed as a community benefit for all, with no fees or subscriptions charged.</p><p> A garden area to include a sensory garden  An area for active wildflower management  Small scale organic food production community planted and harvested  Community composting including Bokashi, and wormeries  A childrens garden  A garden for adults with a learning disability to work with a mentor to gain gardening skills  A resource library  A tool library for free hire  A quiet or reflective area with appropriate seating  A garden space with reflects the diversity of our ethnic make up and where unusual or hard to find plants are grown.</p><p>Access and disability</p><p>The community garden would encourage sustainable access by discouraging the use of vehicles and encouraging access by walking or cycling. It must be recognised however that some disabled access will be needed for the exclusive use of those clients.</p><p>A central free tool hire would be established. Small sheds to be sited for use by community gardeners and mentors. Our special community of adults with a learning disability and other hard to reach groups would be made especially welcome. </p><p>Wildlife and habitat</p><p>1 Wildlife preservation and habitats to be encouraged by using and placing boxes and habitats to include</p><p> Bat boxes  Bird boxes  Bug boxes</p><p>Placing of bee hives (externally funded) to ne managed by the community and to encourage youth involvement.
