You create categories to organize items in your gradebook. Categories are especially important if you have a large number of assignments or if you have associated outcomes with your assignments. Without categories, your gradebook may feel jumbled and be difficult to manage. With categories, you can group grade items together and collapse them when you don’t need to see the grade items in that category. </p><p>Use the following procedure to add grade categories to your gradebook and move items into a category.</p><p>Task Screen Shot 2. There will be no category total if Grade type is set to None.</p><p>11. Click the Save changes button.</p><p>13. To move assignments to a category, check the check box to the right of the assignments to be moved.</p><p>14.
