<p> SALFORD CITY COUNCIL - RECORD OF DECISION</p><p>I Councillor Margaret Morris</p><p>Lead Member for Children's Services</p><p> in exercise of the powers conferred on me by paragraph 2.3 (3) of Section 2 </p><p> of the Scheme of Delegation of the Council do hereby authorise/approve the actions </p><p> taken under Section 3 Part 4.1. Contractual Standing Orders and Rules of</p><p>Procurement for construction projects relating to Partnering arrangements and the</p><p> proposed acceptance of a series of Target Costs submitted by Seddon</p><p>Construction Ltd for works to upgrade and refurbish sections of Barton Moss</p><p>Secure Care Unit and the appointment of Urban Vision, Hattrall DS One and S I</p><p>Sealy and Associates as designers and consultants associated with the delivery of</p><p> the project. The approval is granted insofar as the total project costs do not exceed</p><p> the grant funding limit of £1,837,411.</p><p>The reasons are to enable the works to progress as programmed to start on site and </p><p> be completed by March 2012. The design development is ongoing in order to</p><p> achieve the programme and final Target Costs are expected in March 2012.</p><p>Options considered and rejected were:- None. All procedures are in accordance with</p><p> normal Standing Orders.</p><p>Assessment of Risk: Medium</p><p>The grant funding is conditional on the works being completed by the end of March 2012.</p><p>The programme has been developed to achieve the delivery of the contract to meet the necessary spend profile.</p><p>D:\Docs\2018-04-14\0aca03d98d08d4d9933149b7eedbc32b.doc -2-</p><p>The source of funding is: DFE capital grant totalling £1,837,411 which is allocated under </p><p>Partnerships for Schools </p><p>Legal advice obtained: Standing Orders Apply</p><p>Financial advice obtained: Standing Orders Apply.
