Remember to thoroughly explain the who, what when where, why and how of the event  Eyewitness accounts to portray various perspectives of event. (If you decide to quote witnesses remember to use quotations properly!)</p><p>Scoring Guide</p><p>Title/Header (Focus)</p><p> Article contains a title that is focused on news story  Header is one sentence in length and briefly depicts the main idea of the news story  Title and header grab audience’s attention and focus on the big idea of the news story ____/10</p><p>News Story (Content/Voice/Style/Organization)</p><p> Contains at least three paragraphs that describe the event in vivid detail using support from the novel.  Each paragraph contains an introductory sentence, a minimum of three supporting details, and a concluding sentence that sums up the key points of the paragraph.  Paragraphs use a varied sentence structure and variety of descriptive vocabulary to create an appropriate tone.
