Have you ever looked inside a peach pit? What does it look like?</p><p>Level 4</p><p> Who was your favorite creature in the story? Tell why  Which event in the story was the most thrilling?  Which creature would make the best pet? Why?  Which creature would you most likely find inside a piece of fruit?</p><p>Level 5</p><p> How would the story be different if it were a banana?  Think of two additional creatures that could have lived inside the peach.  Suppose James’s aunts were waiting in New York. What might have happened?  Suppose you had some magical “little green things,” what would you do with them?</p><p>Level 6</p><p> Decide whether you would like to have been James in this story. Explain  Predict what the aunts will do when they find out where James is.  Why does this story evoke vivid images (pictures) in your mind?  Tell how you might create a story like this one, only using another piece of fruit.
