<p> NETHER LANGWITH PARISH COUNCIL</p><p>MINUTES of the Meeting of the Parish Council held at the Village Hall on Thursday 9 February 2017</p><p>Present : Cllr R Stockton in the chair, Cllr G Staniforth, Cllr A Stevenson and Cllr K Dukes.</p><p>1. Apologies</p><p>Apologies were received from Cllrs Middleton, Bryan and Malkan.</p><p>2. Minutes of the meeting held on 9 February 2017.</p><p>The minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on the 9 February 2017 were taken as read and accepted as a true record.</p><p>3. Matters Arising From the Minutes</p><p>There were no matters arising.</p><p>4. Correspondence</p><p>4.1 BDC – Notice of Precepts and Contributions 2017/18 payment dates – noted.</p><p>5. County Councillor’s Report</p><p>Cllr Ogle was not present.</p><p>6. District Councillor’s Report</p><p>Cllr Dukes reported that there will be very little capital expenditure in 2017/18. He also reported that there is to be a panning services review.</p><p>7. This would apply to the Caretaker with the hourly rate for the Street Cleaner increasing to £7.88.</p><p>It was resolved that these rates be applied with effect from 1 April.</p><p>8. Approval of Statement of Accounts for 2016/17</p><p>8.1 It was resolved that the Statement of Accounts for 2016/17 which had been previously circulated be approved.</p><p>8.2 It was resolved that the Council acknowledge Section 1, items 1 to 9, of the Annual Governance Statement and that the Chair and Clerk sign the statement accordingly.</p><p>8.3 It was resolved that Section 2 of the Annual Return (Accounting Statements 2016/17) be approved and signed accordingly by the Chair and Clerk.</p><p>9. Highways and Related Matters</p><p>Cllr Stevenson reported that the village sign will be erected in approximately 2 – 3 weeks.</p><p>10. Planning</p><p>Planning application no. 17/00038/COU – convert barn into self-contained accommodation at Langwith House Queens Walk . There were no objections raised.</p><p>11. Village Hall</p><p>The problem of access to the boiler room was discussed with particular reference to key holders. The Clerk said that he would speak to the Chair.</p><p>12. Village Green</p><p>It was reported that the Contractor has doing a very good job.</p><p>13. Date of Next Meeting.</p><p>The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Thursday 11 May 2017 at 19:00.</p><p>There being no further business, the Chair declared the meeting closed at 19:35.
