A leader in the Catholic social service community, the agency works closely with the Archdiocese of Toronto and its parishes, as well as the broader community and social service sector.</p><p>Opportunity Catholic Family Services of Toronto is currently seeking a full-time Social Worker reporting to the Manager of Services and Programs to deliver the Men and Anger, Choosing to Change and Being a Dad programs. The incumbent is responsible for the day to day management of the delivery of the programs and also carry a clinical caseload of individual, couples and family counseling. The incumbent will be required to work two (2) evenings per week.</p><p>The primary duties required for this position include, but are not limited to:</p><p> Deliver the Men and Anger, Choosing to Change and Being a Dad group programs  Provide counseling services to individuals, couples and families  Promote the Men’s wellness programs in the Catholic and the broader community;  In cooperation with the Manager evaluate each programs’ effectiveness for the purpose of continually improving services;  Manage a clinical caseload meeting service, administrative and funding requirements;  Maintain confidential clinical records of treatment contacts and assessment information for report management purposes utilizing tact and discretion at all times;  Manage administrative duties, including client statistical reporting systems as per funding requirements;  Perform other duties as assigned. </p><p>Qualifications and Skills  Eligibility for membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapist is required</p><p> Master’s degree in Social Work or related sciences</p><p> Commitment to working with men who have used abuse in their intimate partner relationships</p><p> Interest in working with men who struggle with anger </p><p> Knowledge of group methodology; dynamics of violence against women and good understanding of the dynamics of abusive relationships</p><p> Knowledge and experience in clinical counseling including individual therapy, couple assessment and marital therapy  Knowledge of personality development, family life cycle, family systems, and learning theory</p><p> Ability to be sensitive to the needs of people from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds</p><p> The ability to access the client’s spirituality in service of the client’s goals is an asset</p><p> Fluency in a second language is an asset</p><p> A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check, valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and relevant insurance</p><p>Candidates are invited to indicate their interest in this position by sending a resume and cover letter by May 15, 2015 to [email protected]</p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest in Catholic Family Services of Toronto.
