Opportunity Catholic Family Services of Toronto is currently seeking a full-time Social Worker reporting to the Manager of Services and Programs to deliver the Men and Anger, Choosing to Change and Being a Dad programs. The incumbent is responsible for the day to day management of the delivery of the programs and also carry a clinical caseload of individual, couples and family counseling. The incumbent will be required to work two (2) evenings per week.

The primary duties required for this position include, but are not limited to:

 Deliver the Men and Anger, Choosing to Change and Being a Dad group programs  Provide counseling services to individuals, couples and families  Promote the Men’s wellness programs in the Catholic and the broader community;  In cooperation with the Manager evaluate each programs’ effectiveness for the purpose of continually improving services;  Manage a clinical caseload meeting service, administrative and funding requirements;  Maintain confidential clinical records of treatment contacts and assessment information for report management purposes utilizing tact and discretion at all times;  Manage administrative duties, including client statistical reporting systems as per funding requirements;  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills  Eligibility for membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapist is required

 Master’s degree in Social Work or related sciences

 Commitment to working with men who have used abuse in their intimate partner relationships

 Interest in working with men who struggle with anger

 Knowledge of group methodology; dynamics of violence against women and good understanding of the dynamics of abusive relationships

 Knowledge and experience in clinical counseling including individual therapy, couple assessment and marital therapy  Knowledge of personality development, family life cycle, family systems, and learning theory

 Ability to be sensitive to the needs of people from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds

 The ability to access the client’s spirituality in service of the client’s goals is an asset

 Fluency in a second language is an asset

 A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check, valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and relevant insurance
