<p>Lesson Plan: Unit: Alcohol Materials Needed: ppalcoholeffects, ppalcoholtruefalse, True False signs, Optional: DVD Alcohol True Stories hosted by Matt Damon; website The Drink Wheel; materials for FAS experiment (baby, bag of water, clear bowl; food coloring) Daily focus: effects of alcohol on oneself and unborn baby Objective: I will investigate the effects of alcohol. 9.ATOD1.6: I will summarize the consequences of alcohol use during pregnancy 9.ATOD2.2: I will demonstrate strategies for avoiding binge drinking 9.ATOD2.1: I will identify ways to avoid riding in the car or other risky behaviors with someone who is under the influence Essential Question: How does low, medium, and high doses of alcohol affect a person? Students will know: how alcohol affects the body, decision making, and an unborn child Students will be able to: develop techniques to turn down alcohol</p><p>Writing: script, what would you do? Inquiry: Why do 50% of teens under the age of 21 drink to get drunk? With so much knowledge on the effects of alcohol, why do people drink and drive? Collaboration: with partner/team, write script/role play, What would you do? Reading: “Just One Drink,” scenarios, facts and statistics, What would you do? story</p><p>Class Agenda: Warm-up:  True/False Game o Students will take an educated guess by holding up the True/False sign  Reading “Just One Drink”  Class Discussion Introduction to topic:  Video Clip: We thought we were invincible… a.
