Graziadei Achievement Award – March 9 Buick Achievers Scholarship Program – February 28 R. Flake Shaw – BEFORE March 15 Student Ethics Scholarship Award – March 1 Tau Chapter Prospective Teacher – to Ms. Isley in HE1 by March 16 Eli Whitney Ruritan Club Scholarship – to Mrs. Payne by March 1 Whitlow-Osborne Scholarship – March 31 The Innovation Scholarship – March 1 SEANC Scholarship Program – April 15</p><p>Scholarship Applications Currently Available: Remember to visit www.scholarshipplus.com/abss on a regular basis! This website will identify 290+ scholarship opportunities and will allow you to sort by name, discipline, deadlines, etc.</p><p>1. State Employees Credit Union “People Helping People” Scholarship -for a student who has been accepted and plans to attend one of the 16 UNC system universities -applicants must exemplify the SEANC membership philosophy of “People Helping People” – through academic accomplishments, leadership, strong character, integrity, and commitment to community service -all applications will be presented to a Faculty Council for review and selection; a SAHS senior WILL receive this scholarship Amount: $2,500 per year for four years Application is due to Mrs. Payne by March 26, 2013</p><p>2. Randolph Telephone General Scholarship Program -applicants must be a dependent of a member or subscriber of the Randolph Telephone Company whose primary residence telephone number has a prefix of 622, 241, 381, 461, 464, 581, 857, or 879 -applicant must meet entrance requirements for an accredited college or university Amount: varies Application is due to Mrs. Payne by March 27, 2013</p><p>3. Alamance County Cattlemen’s Association -awards scholarship to students in need who are pursuing an education in an agricultural related field (Agriculture fields may include forestry, horticulture, animal science, etc.) -consideration will be given to scholarship, school and community activities, activities and involvement in agriculture, and future plans Amount: $1,000 Application must be received by March 31, 2013</p><p>4. Alamance County Farm Bureau Scholarship -awarded to a graduating senior planning to attend a two year college or four year college program in an agriculture or agricultural related field -consideration will be given to academics, character, financial need, and leadership potential; preference will be given to farm bureau members Amount: $1,000 per year for four years Application is due to the Farm Bureau Office in Graham by April 15, 2013</p><p>5. Graham Rotary Club -will sponsor a scholarship for a SAHS senior to assist in defraying the expense of post-secondary education -application addresses academic record, financial need, extracurricular activities, high moral standards, and future plans Amount: $$1,000 Application is due to Mrs. Payne by March 27, 2013 (*please note earlier deadline from what is posted on the application flyer from the Graham Rotary Club – due to spring break schedule)</p><p>In compliance with federal laws, Southern Alamance High School and Alamance-Burlington School System administers all educational programs without discrimination because of race, religion, national or ethnic origin, color, age, disability, or gender, except where exemption is appropriate and allowed by law. </p>
