<p>Sports Trial Information</p><p>Australian Rules Football </p><p>Students wishing to participate in this sport do so through the Darling Downs regional trials.</p><p>Age divisions are:</p><p>• 12 Years and under.</p><p>• 15 years and under [boys].</p><p>• 16 years and under [girls].</p><p>Baseball</p><p>Students wishing to participate in this sport do so through the Darling Downs regional trials. Note that nominations are school based, either individual or team.</p><p>Age divisions are:</p><p>• 14 years and under. </p><p>• 18 Years and under.</p><p>Basketball</p><p>Students wishing to participate in this sport do so by participating in the South West School Sport regional trials and so gain selection to attend the Darling Downs regional trial.</p><p>Age divisions are:</p><p>• 19 years and under boys. </p><p>• 19 years and under girls. </p><p>• 15 years and under boys. </p><p>• 15 years and under girls </p><p>• 12 years and under boys. </p><p>• 12 years and under girls. Cricket</p><p>South West holds a regional trials and sends a team to the state championships in the 12 years boys and girls divisions only. All other divisions participate through Darling Downs.</p><p>Age groups for this sport are:</p><p>• 19 years and under boys. </p><p>• 14/15 years and under boys. </p><p>• 15 years and under girls. </p><p>• 12 years and under boys. </p><p>• 12 years and under girls. </p><p>Cross Country</p><p>South West School Sport holds a 10 - 19 years regional trial in this sport. Nominations may come from either a district or an individual school [where no district trial is held]. </p><p>Nominations for the regional trial may only be made by using either Meet Manager or Team Manager Lite programs. </p><p>• To use Meet Manager - download the meet backup file emailed to district secretaries and sport coordinators and install on your Meet Manager program. TM Lite is available as a free download from Hy-Tek. </p><p>Golf</p><p>Individual South West students wishing to be considered for selection to participate in the Darling Downs School Sport trials.</p><p>Age divisions are:</p><p>• 13 - 19 years boys. </p><p>• 13 - 19 years girls. </p><p>• 11 - 12 years boys. • 11 - 12 years girls.</p><p>Football</p><p>Regional trials are held in each age division. Students in the 15 and 19 years divisions participate in the Darling Downs School Sport trials to seek selection in their team to attend the Queensland School Sport state championship; Students in the 12 years division participate in the Queensland School Sport championship.</p><p>Age groups are:</p><p>• 19 years and under boys </p><p>• 19 years and under girls </p><p>• 15 years and under boys </p><p>• 15 years and under girls </p><p>• 12 years and under boys </p><p>• 12 years and under girls </p><p>Netball</p><p>The regional trials for Netball will be school team nominations. In the 19 years age group school teams will compete for the Vicki Wilson Cup. School teams may need to combine in each of the age groups to ensure that all students from a centre are able to participate in the regional trials.</p><p>Age divisions are:</p><p>• 19 years and under </p><p>• 15 years and under </p><p>• 12 years and under</p><p>Orienteering</p><p>Students from South West School Sport region participate in the Darling Downs trials for this sport. Age divisions are:</p><p>• 12 - 13 years boys and girls </p><p>• 14 years boys and girls </p><p>• 15 years boys and girls </p><p>• 16 years boys and girls</p><p>Rugby League</p><p>The regional trials for Rugby League will be school team nominations. In the 19 years age group school teams will compete for the GIO Cup. In the 10 – 12 years age group teams will compete for the Development Cup.
