No cash or cheques will be accepted at PRASA offices – (Bank Deposit or Electronic Payments - allow for 1-day delay). PROJECT PURPOSE</p><p>The purpose of this project is to supply and install TWO 2MVA, 11KV/400V indoor oil cooled transformers as per attached bill of quantity. </p><p>2. ADDITIONAL WORKS</p><p>Any additional work not authorized by the Project manager, even if proven necessary for the successful completion of the project, will be tenderer’s own account.</p><p>3. PENALTIES</p><p>3.1 The contractor will be charged a penalty of R200.00 per day delayed after the project duration has expired. 3.2 The contractor shall also be charged R10 000.00 if found on site without proper site access from Metrorail.</p><p>4. REQUIREMENTS</p><p>4.1 The contractor must provide a qualified Electrician or Technician with a minimum of 2 -3 years of experience on Medium Voltage Cable Termination and 11KV Transformer Installation. 4.2 The contractor must have a traceable reference of the similar work.</p><p>5. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS</p><p>All work in this contract shall comply with the Occupational Safety Act, 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993). These items shall all be included in tendered rate. A copy of the act as well as an approved safety file shall be kept on site for the duration of the project.</p><p>6. SECURITY </p><p>The contractor shall be responsible for providing security on site until site is handed over to Metrorail</p><p>7. CLEARING OF SITE </p><p>All rubble which is left over as a direct result of work performed by the contractor shall be removed from site and disposed by the contractor. The substation floors and walls shall be left in a clean condition. All cables, wires and conductors cut-offs and surplus material shall be removed from site to Durban Electrical depot. </p><p>8. CIDB GRADING </p><p>CIDB grading is 3 EP.</p><p>9. DURATION </p><p>The project duration is eight (8) months.</p><p>10. TRANSPORTATION OF SCRAP </p><p>The contractor shall transport old equipment to Durban Electrical Depot</p><p>11.
