BLOOMBERG MARKET CONCEPTS</p><p>1.1 Foundations of Finance</p><p>Bloomberg Market Concepts or BMC is an online course that provides an introduction to the financial markets. The course format comprises of 8 hours of teaching videos with interaction through quizzes and end of module tests. The BMC takes you through the basics of what you'll need to know to work in finance.</p><p>1.2 Why take the BMC?</p><p>Business eLearning W - buselrn.ucd.ie | E - [email protected] UCD Business eLearning Why should you take the BMC?</p><p>At the end of the course you will have gained: Market knowledge the case studies give you useful background information to recent financial events Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal this is a good introduction to the Bloomberg Terminal and puts concepts learnt in the BESS into practice Certificate of Completion upon completion of all four modules, you'll be able to download your certificate of completion</p><p>1.3 Before you begin</p><p>To start the BMC program you will need: Access to a Bloomberg Terminal The BMC is available on the Bloomberg Terminals in the Data Analytics Lab BMC account You will need to create a BMC account which is separate and in addition to your Bloomberg login account The course duration is about 8 hours so take your time and work through the modules systematically</p><p>Business eLearning W - buselrn.ucd.ie | E - [email protected] UCD Business eLearning 1.4 Type BMC</p><p>Type BMC into the Command Line in the top left of the Bloomberg window and hit the GO key from the keyboard.</p><p>1.5 BMC Homescreen</p><p>This is the BMC home screen. Follow any on screen instructions, in this case click to view the chart.</p><p>2.12 Submit answer</p><p>Select your answer or response.
