I. 1968 to 1971 studied economics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), awarded Dr. oec. HSG in 1979.</p><p>From 1977 to 1994 Elmar Ledergerber worked as a partner at INFRAS AG (infrastructure, environment and business consultants). Up to 1998 he was Managing Director of Econcept AG (business and political con- sultants in the fields of economy, ecology and infrastructure develop- ment).
