The landowner/operator is responsible to establish and implement an inspection and maintenance program. Items to inspect and maintain during the 10-year design life of the practice include, but are not limited to, the following:</p><p>1. Inspect after significant storm events and at least annually to identify repair and maintenance needs.</p><p>2. Fill areas where settlement may adversely affect drainage and land use.</p><p>3. Promptly repair and re-vegetate bare spots and eroded areas.</p><p>4. Add soil amendments to soils that cannot support adequate vegetation or replace them with suitable soil material.</p><p>5. Maintain access roads.</p><p>6. Keep drainage structures and channels clean and functional.</p><p>7. Apply fertilizer and lime as appropriate to maintain vigorous vegetation.</p><p>8. Control weeds.</p><p>9. Implement proper grazing practices, where appropriate.</p><p>10. Control vehicular traffic.</p><p>11.
