Dewey Was Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and His Family Eventually Relocated To

<p> DEWEY LYONS</p><p>Dewey was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and his family eventually relocated to Newark, New Jersey, where he attended the Newark Public School system. </p><p>Dewey and his wife, Deborah, are now retired and live in Plainfield, New Jersey. They have two daughters, and three grandchildren. </p><p>Shortly after returning from the U.S. Army military service in Vietnam, Dewey attended Rutgers University. After graduating, he began a 31½-year career with PSE&G. While at PSE&G, Dewey held a number of staff and line management positions. He earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.</p><p>Dewey served on various national committees of the American Gas Association and the Edison Electric Institute. He also served as a Commissioner in his home town of Plainfield. Over his long career with PSE&G, Dewey was the recipient of numerous recognition and achievement awards. </p><p>Dewey was one of the charter members of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, and served as President from 2001 through 2003.</p><p>He enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. </p>
