
<p>Position Available: Motivational Tour Speaker 2010/2011</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Develop and deliver an exceptional presentation and motivational speech</p><p>• Chair unique and inspiring leadership workshops pertaining to social action across diverse audiences</p><p>• Facilitate and foster leadership during your workshops. Workshops range from one, two or even four hours in duration</p><p>• Research current local and global issues</p><p>• Contribute to the strategic development of campaigns and overall programme objectives including its administration</p><p>• Arrange transportation and navigation in a variety of communities across the United Kingdom </p><p>• Prepare and distribute materials (promotional, program, youth resources, and other)</p><p>• Assist with monitoring and evaluation procedures to measure tour impact</p><p>• Be willing to assist with a range of administrative tasks as necessary</p><p>• Assist with the logistics, marketing and coordination of outreach activities</p><p>• Manage the scheduling and planning of outreach programmes across educational boards in the United Kingdom</p><p>• Support various other projects ensuring the broader outreach of the team </p><p>• Represent Free The Children at conferences, events, workshops and forums Qualifications and Experience:</p><p>• Dynamic speaking and facilitation abilities including the capability of interacting effectively across a diverse range of audiences</p><p>• Experience teaching in the formal education system is an asset </p><p>• A passionate interest in social justice issues</p><p>• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines</p><p>• Excellent oral and written communication skills</p><p>• Positive, flexible and enthusiastic</p><p>• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team and to contribute to the development of programme initiatives</p><p>• Charisma when working with youth and a passion for youth leadership</p><p>• Marketing and media skills an asset</p><p>• Travel within the UK will be necessary so you must possess a valid driver’s license </p><p>• There will be a requirement for some out of hours and weekend work </p><p>• Working knowledge of two or more languages an asset</p><p>• Experience in the creative arts such as writing, playing or performing is an asset </p><p>• Travel experience an asset </p>
