Understanding of Lawson’s inherit functionality with web products  Environment, Productlines/Dataspaces (LOGAN/IOS) & Portal  LOGAN CGI Programs ( AGS, DME , IDA )  Examples of what you can build with Design Studio</p><p> Functional testing of Design Studio to ensure proper working order and compatibility of all software components . </p><p>Lesson 2 UI Designer: Forms Designer (44.28 minutes ) </p><p> Review the basics of Customizing a UI Form with the Quickpaint Method The Menu Options, The View Options, Introduction to the Toolbox  Exercise # 1 A HR11.1 Form will be customized we will : - Explore and modify base form “ document “ properties - Move fields from a Tab Region to the Base Page. - Default a Form Action, Default Field values - Remove Select Form “Transfer To “ options - Remove Form Actions, - Remove 2 tabs from the Tab Region  The modified form will be saved as “HR11.1_EXERCISE1 and a Portal short cut method will be made to deploy the Form.  Default values to Fields and Actions to Forms  Simple Method of deploying a CustomForm. </p><p>Lesson 3 UI Designer : Forms Designer (Part A : 24.47 minutes )  Review the basics of Customizing a UI Form with the Blank Method The Menu Options, The View Options, Introduction to the Toolbox  Exercise # 2 A HR11.1 Form using the Blank Palette Method. Exercise 2B.</p><p>Lesson 4 Building DME Calls (17.21 minutes )</p><p>In this Lesson we will Review using the DME API Builder Program that is provided as a tool within the Design Studio Environment. All options within this tool will be reviewed and a follow along exercise ( to query AP Vendor Balance )accompanies this lesson . </p><p>Supplement document for the exercise is : Lesson4_DME_Notes.doc</p><p>Lesson 5 Building AGS Calls (14.16 minutes)</p><p>In this Lesson will Review using the AGS API Builder Program that is provided as a tool within the Design Studio Environment. All options within this tool will be reviewed and a follow along exercise ( to perform a AGS Add to a PO10.1 Lawson Program ) accompanies this Lesson . </p><p>Supplement document for the exercise is : Lesson5_AGS_Notes.doc Lesson 6 Review of all Toolbox objects within UI Designer ( 24.54 minutes ) </p><p>Now that we have hands on experience using the UI Designer via the preceding exercises and exposure to creating AGS and DME API’s . Lets Take a step back and review UI Designer and all of its objects within the UI Designers’s Toolbox before forge forward into complementing the custom forms with javascript. Lesson 7 Review of the Forms Scripting Capability (14.15 minutes )</p><p>In this Lesson we will Review the use of Javascript & XML to enhance the functionality of Custom Forms and Portal Pages. Functional programming skillsets required to be successful in incorporating scripting are discussed as well . Where resources exist to attain basic functional skillsets in HTML/ Java Scripting and the XML document object model are shared . Examples of the use of scripting within Custom UI’s are demonstrated and discussed.</p><p> is provided as a tool within the Design Studio Environment. All options within this tool will be reviewed and a follow along exercise ( to perform a AGS Add to a PO10.1 Lawson Program ) accompanies this Lesson . </p><p>Supplement document for the exercise is : Lesson5_AGS_Notes.doc Lesson 8a Scripting Exercises for UI Forms Designer (12.49 minutes ) </p><p>In this Lesson we fully explore the potential of scripting to complement extending the functionality of the Lawson Design Studio Development Environment . Along with the follow-along Visual Screen Recordings there is a document with the Code for each exercise . The name of this document is Lesson8_Exercises_code.doc. (17.15 minutes )  Lesson 8h Exercise 7 Create a URL to Open a Form - Vanilla Form, and – Custom Form ( 10:45 minutes)  Lesson8i Exercise 8 Populate a Listbox with results from a Query ( 8:12 minutes)</p><p>Lesson 9 Wizard Builder (13.00 minutes )  Review the Basics of the Wizard Builder  As a Exercise we will create several Wizards for a HR11.1 Lawson Form</p><p>The powerpoint to be discussed via the Visual Screen Recording will elaborate more on the function of each wizard. </p><p>Lesson 10 Review of Portal Page Designer (9.16 minutes )</p><p>In this Lesson we will Introduce and Review the use of Portal Page Designer and review some practical and relevant examples of User Interfaces built with this Development Application. Also , discussed is the need to develop a thought naming convention to be used in the creation of Portal Page and subcomponent “XML” files . Lesson 11 Portal Page Designer Exercises</p><p>The following Follow-along Exercises will serve as practical and relevant User Interfaces to be created with the Portal Page Designer. </p><p> Lesson 11a Exercise 1 Getting our feet wet with Portal Page Designer.
