Study word parts.</p><p>Vocabulary: simile (review)</p><p>Agenda: 1. Jumpstart: Adverbs</p><p>Adverbs modify-or tell more about-verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. a. They answer the question when, where, how, and to what extent. Modifies Verb: We happily visited Adam. Modifies Adjective: The extremely graceful swan swims. Modifies Adverb: Jackie ran very quickly. b. Many adverbs end with the suffix –ly (quickly, easily, carefully).</p><p>Writing Goal: Complete notes</p><p>2. “The Scarlet Ibis” a.
