Agenda: 1. Jumpstart: Adverbs

Adverbs modify-or tell more about-verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. a. They answer the question when, where, how, and to what extent.  Modifies Verb: We happily visited Adam.  Modifies Adjective: The extremely graceful swan swims.  Modifies Adverb: Jackie ran very quickly. b. Many adverbs end with the suffix –ly (quickly, easily, carefully).
