<p>Job Description Ref no: Project Manager - British Council Services for International Job Title Education Marketing (BCSIEM), South Asia</p><p>Directorate or Region South Asia Department/Country Education & Society </p><p>Location of post Delhi or Mumbai Pay Band G/6</p><p>Regional Director Reports to Duration of job 2 years fixed term contract BC SIEM</p><p>Purpose of job: </p><p>British Council Services for International Education Marketing (BC SIEM) provides a comprehensive set of solutions, tailored to cater to UK educational institutions’ diverse international marketing needs in South Asia. This role will support the delivery of these solutions from South Asia. This role has a regional remit and will be involved in providing project management support to teams across the region (currently there are 26 staff delivering SIEM in 5 countries in South Asia). This role is responsible for providing central project management support to ensure resources are allocated correctly to deliver a range of projects throughout the year, to deadline, in order to achieve our ambitious targets. </p><p>The role holder will also provide project and administrative support to the Regional Director (SIEM) and wider Regional SIEM team. </p><p>Who delivers the services? The services are delivered through experienced overseas teams at country level, led by specialist Regional Directors in five regions who ensure that the right people, process and approach are employed to meet UK institutions’ needs.</p><p>Why UK institutions use Services for International Education Marketing? The region comprises India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Iran (non-represented) and Nepal. Programme priority areas are English, where there is a need to develop a stronger product offer for teachers and learners; Higher Education (with large opportunities in market intelligence and knowledge transfer) and the Arts. Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties: (including people management and finance)</p><p> Working with the Regional Director (SIEM) be responsible for ensuring that BC SIEM projects are managed consistently across the region and meet the project objectives ensuring buy-in and participation from country teams. In particular this role will support regional projects and initiatives where more than one country is involved for example regional careers fairs, regional marketing, ensuring exhibitions are centrally coordinated, regional training sessions, regional agent initiatives etc.  This role will also support the implementation of new and agreed regional pricing and structural changes envisaged over the next two years as per the business plan.  Contribute to the BC SIEM planning process through the utilisation of their experience of project management and delivery. This is done on both a quarterly and annual basis and will require liaison with each of the country teams to ensure we have a complete understanding of the business at identified points during the year.  To support and champion regional collaboration on a range of projects, communicating effectively with all country teams to ensure project deadlines are met and delivered to a high standard  To develop and maintain internal stakeholder relationships with the wider BC SIEM team and Education & Society Strategic Business Unit across South Asia and the UK. Feeding in relevant information when appropriate and ensuring we have wider stakeholder engagement.  To ensure that monitoring and evaluation is part of the project management process and to deliver a centralised response when required working with each of the teams and the wider monitoring and evaluation team (currently based in Delhi)  To contribute to the design and delivery of BC SIEM projects – working closely with project delivery teams along matrix management lines, ensuring programmes are delivered to plan sharing best practice where useful  To keep professionally updated on sector & market developments that affect delivery and project management methodologies  To provide administrative support to the senior SIEM executive support as and when required. </p><p>Key relationships: (include internal and external) </p><p>Internal: SIEM South Asia Heads, SIEM South Asia Senior Management team, SBU Head Programme, location Head Programmes, SBU Assistant Directors, Specialist roles based in different geography , Regional SBU leadership teams, UK SIEM teams</p><p>External: Sector specific partner organisations (e.g. schools, universities, arts organisations etc), Delivery partnership organisations</p><p>Other important features or requirements of the job : some travel within and outside the country and unsocial/evening hours at times</p><p>Please specify any Post holder will need valid work permit to work in India. passport/visa and/or nationality requirement.
