<p> The Human Condition</p><p>God created out of nothing and made everything ‘good’. The human condition was a positive and seemingly perfect one; humans had freewill and a loving relationship with God.</p><p>Then, ‘the FALL’ happened.</p><p>The Fall Refers to Adam and Eve’s ‘fall from grace’ in Genesis 3. Story of Adam and Eve. Placed in the Garden of Eden and told not to eat from tree of knowledge. Disobeyed God – Eve tempted by serpent. Adam ate the apple too. God expelled them from the Garden of Eden. Sin entered the world and humanity inherited the sin of Adam and Eve after the Fall – Original Sin.</p><p>Consequences of sin leading to the human condition</p><p> Alienation from God. Alienation from each other. Death. Evil and suffering. Guilt and betrayal. Remorse, embarrassment and a sense of being lost. The need for salvation and atonement. </p>
