Same Spelling 2. Different Pronunciations (sounds) 3. Different Meanings Examples: “read” – present tense of “reading” “read” – past tense of “reading</p><p>“live” – “I live in Spokane.” “live” - “The band will play live at 6pm.”</p><p>Homonym (also called “Homophone”) – These are words that have three (3) traits to remember: 1. Same Pronunciations (sounds) 2. Different Spelling 3.
