<p>There are three ways to type accents. One way is to use the Control commands. A second way is to use the ALT codes. A third way is to simply go to Insert Symbol and find the letter with the accent on it. This sheet provides you with the Control commands and ALT codes.</p><p>Control Commands  For this method, you will need to hold down the control key (CTRL), along with one more key, let go and type the letter. </p><p>ALT Commands  Make sure your number lock is on. Hold ALT and type in the number codes. You must type the numbers with the numeric key pad!
