The Mojave Environmental Education Consortium was honored with the Award for Outstanding Service to Environmental Education by an Organization. This award is given to organizations that exemplify leadership in the field of environmental education. </p><p>The mission of the MEEC is to improve the environmental literacy of students, teachers, and community of the Mojave Desert region by providing high quality environmental STEM-based educational resources. Founded in 2001, MEEC provides free environmental resources and tools to educators and students throughout the High Desert.
