Freemason Street, Edenton NC, 27932, Telephone 252-482-5144</p><p>Jay Fortenbery Chief of Police PRESS RELEASE February 7, 2012</p><p>On February 7, 2012 at approximately 12:20am, officers of the Edenton Police Department responded to Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton to a reported stabbing. </p><p>Investigation revealed the stabbing occurred at 807 Cabarrus Street, Edenton NC. The victim, 35 year old Derrick Molek Parker was stabbed multiple times in the legs, arms and abdomen. </p><p>Multiple witnesses identified 21 year old Dominic Duron Gay of 106 E. Carteret Street who was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and placed in the Chowan County Jail under a $40,000 secured bond. His first appearance is set for February 7, 2012 in Chowan County District Court. </p><p>The victim was transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville NC for treatment and is reported in fair condition. </p><p>Any questions regarding the criminal investigation should be forwarded to the Chief of Police, Edenton Police Department 252-482-5144. </p><p>Arrested Dominic Duron Gay 106 E.
