<p>Job Description</p><p>ASSOCIATE HEADTEACHER - Leadership Spine 25-30</p><p>1. General Purpose of the Post</p><p>The Associate Headteacher will:</p><p>(i) Undertake some of the duties demanded in the Executive Headteacher’s Job Description;</p><p>(ii) Contribute to the vision and leadership of the school in order to ensure continued progress;</p><p>(iii) Be accountable for continuous improvement in the overall provision of a quality education and the achievement of all students;</p><p>(iv) Ensure consistency across all of the school;</p><p>(v) Be one of the main instruments in supporting the ethos of the whole school;</p><p>(i) Satisfy the aims of the school through the implementation of the policies of the governing body;</p><p>2. Leadership </p><p>The Associate Headteacher will:</p><p>(i) Have line management responsibility for some of the Assistant Headteachers; </p><p>(ii) Lead the development, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum to ensure high quality and best value;</p><p>(iii) Lead the work with the LEA, the Partnership of Sutton Schools;</p><p>(iv) Lead the Combined Specialism;</p><p>(v) Advise and work with the governing body and committees on the formulation of its policies and their implementation.</p><p>3. Management</p><p>The Associate Headteacher will work with the Executive Headteacher to establish procedures that;</p><p>(i) Promote a positive ethos and a safe environment in which the highest achievements are expected from all members of the school community;</p><p>(ii) Promote good order, discipline and high morale throughout the school community;</p><p>(iii) Create and maintain good working relationships among all members of the school community through effective communication;</p><p>(iv) Recruit and select excellent staff;</p><p>(v) Ensure that budgets are effectively managed.</p><p>4.
