<p> THE CARING CLASSROOM</p><p>The Caring Classroom: Exploring the Foundations of Experiential Education and Community Building in the Classroom</p><p>This course will explore the foundations of experiential education in the classroom and provide a framework for building community in the classroom within the context of academic instruction. Tons of fun activities and methods for helping students create a caring classroom community. No time for "one more thing!"? This course will focus on using community building techniques within existing academic curriculum. </p><p>The Caring Classroom will balance practice and implementation of experiential philosophy and theory. Using experiential methodology, participants will share in creating an inclusive, safe learning community, which will provide a practical foundation for developing an experiential lesson plan for their classroom. </p><p>Using a brain-based approach, in this course we will bring together the dual elements of environment and content, using experiential learning theory, to build a classroom community.
