The hospital has about 530 beds and is a central hospital for about 240 000 people. The dep. of orthop. has 50 beds and in addition 14 beds for patients with rheumatoid diseases undergoing orthopaedic operations. The staff comprices 8 specialists in orthopaedic surgery, 6 residents and all together about 90 employees.
