<p>Press release - from the economic development company for Hull</p><p>30th January 2009</p><p>New appointment strengthens Hull Forward Board</p><p>Carolyn Burgess, Chief Executive of translation and interpretation services firm Language is Everything has been announced as the newest member of the Hull Forward Board.</p><p>The appointment makes a valuable addition to the 14-strong Board and complements the already extensive range of experience and knowledge offered by the high-profile public and private sector representatives tasked with advising the Economic Development Company (EDC). Carolyn not only brings her knowledge of the private sector through the management of her own successful business but also her experience as Vice-President of Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce.</p><p>Operating at a city-wide level, Hull Forward builds on the successes of its predecessor Hull Citybuild to accelerate the city’s ambitious regeneration strategy and is one of the first Economic Development Companies (EDC) to be established in the country.</p><p>John Holmes, Chief Executive at Hull Forward, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Carolyn to our Board and very much look forward to receiving her input.
