Significance to inform the regulation of tobacco products to protect public health. What OSU-CERTS projects, infrastructures, cores, biospecimens or data will be used. If none, justify. If cross-center collaboration – specific these activities and how project will build a sustainable infrastructure for ongoing collaborations. Approach (4 pages) Background Feasibility – of developing the pilot; role of each investigator; junior faculty and postdoctoral fellows identify research mentor Study design, research methods, data collection, protocols and analysis plan (OSU-CERTS Biostatistics and Data Resource Core should be used unless adequate justification.) Describe how results provide preliminary data for R-type grant or equivalent (name targeted funding mechanism). Describe deliverables.</p><p>Qualifications of PI(s):</p><p>Budget and budget justification (not included in the 6-page limit): Two awards at $45,000 for 8-12 month project Three awards at $20,000 for 8-12 month project.</p><p>Allowable Costs: Salary and fringe support for administrative assistance, students, graduate students, clinical trainees, post-doctoral and clinical fellows. Supplies Travel when enhancing project progress Costs for OSU-CERTS cores, if expenses are additional to funded core activities.
