This opportunity is a NTE 1 year Detail/Temporary Promotion opportunity as Civil Engineer (Transportation), GS-0810-11.</p><p>Major Duties: (GS-11) As part of the Rim Fire Recovery team, the incumbent will serves as a civil engineer on the Stanislaus National Forest with responsibility for planning of transportation systems. Assignments cover work projects that involve all aspects of a complete transportation plan. </p><p>You will develop an integrated transportation system plan for the Rim Fire Recovery project using geographic information systems, aerial photographs, topographic and geologic maps, and on-the-ground reconnaissance. You will locate and verify planning objectives for proposed transportation system including analysis of resource, protection and activity management plans as they relate to transportation systems.
