Video Clip and Reflection Activity, Utah League of Cities and Towns Utah State Capitol, Room 415

Every day Utahns use essential services that are provided by cities and towns. Services like water, electricity, and roads, to name a few. But it's surprising that many Utahns don't know who is providing these services. This session highlights work done by the ULCT in past years to promote an increased awareness of the role of local government in Utah, including a civics curriculum created just for fourth and seventh grade teachers. Humorous DVD proves the point that Utahns don't know much about how government works or who serves them.

Presenter: Brian Hall, director of training, Utah League of Cities and Towns

2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Breakout Sessions Utah State Capitol, Rooms 415 and 450

2:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Group A, Room 415

"We the People--The Citizen and the Constitution" and "We the People--Project Citizen," Utah Law Related Education.
