<p>Design Guidelines and Standards Manual University of Cincinnati</p><p>09950D - WALLCOVERINGS</p><p>A. Generally wallcoverings are not recommended by the University because they are easily damaged, difficult to repair and are easy targets for vandals.</p><p>1. Vinyl or paper wall covering should not be used in public or dormitory areas.</p><p>B. Materials must conform with ASTM E-84 or NFiPA255 requirements of Article 14 of Ohio Basic Building Code. Research code carefully to determine class of fire and smoke resistance required for the specific application.</p><p>C. Vinyl wall covering must satisfactorily pass class A physical requirements for type II wall covering as listed in G.S.A. CCC-W-408A and CFFA Quality Standards for vinyl coated fabric wall covering.</p><p>D. EXTRA MATERIAL: Submit extra wallcovering materials to Owner. Extra material shall be in full rolls and equal to approximately 5 percent of the material used on the project.</p><p>END</p><p>WALLCOVERINGS 09950 - D1 9/16/96</p>
