GFOA’s Technical Services Center plays a key role in all of these activities. </p><p>Description of position : The main role of the successful candidate will be to perform high quality technical reviews of comprehensive annual financial reports (CAFRs) submitted to the Certificate of Achievement Program. Long-range opportunities include instructing training seminars and writing technical articles and publications. The position provides an excellent opportunity for national exposure to government finance as it is practiced at state and local levels. </p><p>Required Qualifications: GFOA is looking for a candidate with:</p><p>• A Bachelor’s Degree;  Accounting course grade point average of 3.3 or higher;  Cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher;  Attention to detail.</p><p>Preferred Qualifications: </p><p> Sufficient Accounting hours to sit for the C.P.A. exam;  Designation as a Certified Public Accountant or an equivalent professional designation.</p><p>Compensation: The salary for this position will be determined based on scope of responsibilities.
