(www.emersonswan.com) </p><p>Department: Distribution/Applied Heating Department</p><p>Supervisor: Bob Oppel, Sr. VP </p><p>Duties and Responsibilities: Heating and HVAC outside Salesman Position requires that the successful individual:</p><p>1. Call on heating and plumbing wholesale distributors, trade contractors, building owners and engineers. </p><p>2. Actively pursue technical applications for heating and HVAC systems.</p><p>3. Create pull through opportunities that will generate sales.</p><p>4. Design and layout systems from a design build perspective</p><p>5. Work with engineers to obtain specifications.</p><p>6. Develop and present effective product and systems presentations</p><p>7. Be able to conduct educational training classes with regard to hydronic products, especially boilers and water heaters.</p><p>8. Develop relationships throughout the market</p><p>9. Develop a business plan for the territory</p><p>10. Be accountable for and deliver sales targets and sales as developed in the business plan.</p><p>Key competencies: an aggressive self-starter with a strong work ethic, good sense of self, will to learn, developed sales instincts, self-motivation, competitive, able to work with a team and within a set of company parameters, organized, customer focused, results oriented and a problem solver. Technical expertise is a must as is at least 5 years of experience in the same or like industry.
