<p> The Napoleonic Imperial Eagle of the 45eme de la ligne Limited Edition gilt replica</p><p>As a part of the bicentenary commemoration of the Battle of Waterloo, Hare & Humphreys Ltd, Her Majesty The Queen’s Decorators & Gilders were granted access to carefully carry out multiple 3D scans of the original captured eagle of Napoleon Bonaparte’s Elite Imperial 45th Infantry from its resting place in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum at Edinburgh Castle</p><p>From the resulting scans the master craftsmen of Hare & Humphreys created 2 exact replicas of the eagle taken by Sergeant Ewart of the Scot Greys during the battle, which were subsequently used at the official bicentenary commemorations in Belgium, Scotland and England. These eagles will remain the property of the RSDG Museum and the East India Club in St. James’s London.</p><p>In commemoration of this historic event Hare & Humphreys have further committed to produce a bespoke limited edition of 100 reduced-size gilded replicas for the private collector. </p><p>The 1st of the limited edition was presented to HRH The Princess Royal and the 2nd to Count Blucher at the East India Club on the 21st June 2015.</p><p>Collectors can now purchase these eagles for £375 + p&p directly via the Hare & Humphreys website or via the web sites of the New Waterloo Dispatch, Waterloo 200 and the RSDG museum.</p><p>Each collector will receive:  Limited edition of 100: 95% scale hand finished replica of the 45eme Napoleonic Imperial Eagle.  Dims: Height 26cm (inc hardwood base): Wingspan 21.5cm: Weight 1kilo (each piece may have minor variations)  Resin, hand carved details, gilded & antiqued with 23.5c gold leaf. Unique number & craftsman ID on rear.  Base plinth block: Hardwood with facing brass plaque.
