Ramen Noodle Stir Fry

<p> Period ______Kitchen ______</p><p>RAMEN NOODLE STIR FRY Ingredients:</p><p>1/2 c. chopped broccoli </p><p>1/2 c. chopped cauliflower </p><p>1 carrot, sliced thin </p><p>2 pkgs. chicken-flavored Ramen noodles (with seasoning packets) </p><p>Nonstick vegetable spray NOTE: can use other flavors of Ramen noodles!</p><p>1 Tbsp. soy sauce</p><p>1 2/3 c. water</p><p>Procedure:</p><p>______1. Wash broccoli and cauliflower; cut into small bite-size pieces. Peel and slice </p><p> carrot very thin. (BLA, BLU) Remember to stabilize/secure cutting board!</p><p>______2. Before opening the Ramen packets, crush packet and break up the noodles; </p><p> pour noodles into a bowl and set aside. (G)</p><p>______3. Spray skillet with nonstick vegetable spray. Place skillet on burner; using </p><p> medium-high heat, heat pan for 30 seconds. Add vegetables to pan. (R) </p><p>______4. Stir fry the vegetables (with a wooden spoon) for about 1 minute. (G,R)</p><p>______5. Stir in the broken noodles, contents of the seasoning packets, soy sauce and </p><p> water. (BLU)</p><p>______6. Bring mixture to a boil. Lower heat to medium-low and simmer, with the lid </p><p> on, for 3-5 min. or until most of the liquid has been absorbed, stirring twice. (BLA)</p><p>______7. Serve and ENJOY! Yield: 4 servings</p><p>SAFETY POINTS:  Practice safe knife handling skills when slicing vegetables.  Use dry potholders when handling hot pans.  Lift the pan lid away from you when checking cooking progress.</p><p>EQUIPMENT LIST</p>
