Several pieces of undeliverable as addressed mail.</p><p>2. Directory file (DA Form 3955, Change of Address and Directory Card; OPNAV 5110/5, Notice of Change of Address; NAVMC 10572, Mail Directory File Card; and AF Form 624, Base/Unit Locator and PSC Directory.</p><p>3. Standard USPS supplies and equipment.</p><p>4. Handout for Conducting Postal Directory Functions. </p><p>5. Notice 123, Ratefold</p><p>REQUIREMENTS: The student will:</p><p>1. Back stamp each piece of mail processed through the Directory Section</p><p>2. Correctly endorse each piece of mail being forwarded to the addressee, returned to the sender, or sent to the mail recovery center.</p><p>3. Annotate each piece of mail being forwarded with the correct forwarding address and arrival date/report not later than date, if applicable.</p><p>4. Identify mail to be disposed of as waste.</p><p>5. Identify hold mail.</p><p>6. Identify dead mail.</p><p>7. Properly annotate and dispose of mail refused by the addressee.</p><p>Dir PE Y 2 8. Correctly prepare PS Form 3579 and Postage Due envelope in processing undeliverable as addressed periodicals.</p><p>9. Annotate respective branch of service directory card with PS Form 3579 notification. SITUATION: Today's date is 30 Jun 13. You are the directory clerk at the Military Post Office at APO AE 09028. Today you received 17 undeliverable as addressed articles (represented as situations 1 through 17). Using your respective branch of service directory cards in the Conduct Postal Directory Functions Handout provide directory service to each article. Then answer the questions given on pages 16 and 17.</p><p>INSTRUCTIONS: </p><p>1. Ensure that your name and date are on the practical exercise booklet.</p><p>2. This booklet contains 18 situations including 10 questions. You will have 90 minutes to complete this exercise.</p><p>3. Each situation consists of six graded areas. You MUST achieve a minimum of 80% in order to pass this exercise. Make all responses clear and legible in the exercise booklet. Read each situation carefully but move on so that all situations may be answered in the time allotted. If you make a mistake or if you have to change an answer in the booklet, erase completely and then write in the correct information.</p><p>SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:</p><p>1.
