<p> JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>DEPARTMENT: Operations SECTION: Metrodome LC</p><p>POST TITLE: Bowling Alley Attendant DATE AGREED: June 2011</p><p>RESPONSIBLE TO: Leisure Supervisor / Facility Manager </p><p>DETAILS OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p>1. To provide an efficient Bowling Alley reception service to members of the public using computerised equipment.</p><p>2. Provide excellent customer service at all times, retaining existing and attracting new customers.</p><p>3. Assist in ensuring the highest consistent standards of Customer Quality Service is achieved on your shift.</p><p>4. To take bookings relating to the use of the bowling alley by members of the public and keep appropriate records.</p><p>5. Responsible for issuing/collecting bowling shoes and other bowling equipment.</p><p>6. Carry out before use maintenance checks on the bowling alley lanes prior to opening to members of the public.</p><p>7. Assist bowling alley users in the use and operation of the lanes and computerised scoring equipment.</p><p>8. Responsible for undertaking general cleaning duties and maintenance duties as required, including cleaning of bowling lanes, bowling balls and wiping of table and chairs.</p><p>9. Adhere to BPL’s uniform standards, stock control and cash handling policies at all times.</p><p>10. Ensure that your work areas are clean, safe and maintained in accordance with company guidelines. </p><p>11. Maintain a high level of attendance and time keeping in line with their rota.</p><p>1 of 5 June 2011 12. Adhere to all aspects of licensing law, trading standards, customs and excise regulations, food hygiene, health and safety and company policy.</p><p>13. Serve customers with a range of draught and bottled drinks from behind the bar area.</p><p>14. Collect and wash glasses, and ensure the general cleanliness of the bar and seating area is maintained at all times.</p><p>15. Restock shelves/coolers behind bar with bottled drinks.</p><p>16. Check cash floats and till takings at the end of shift and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with financial regulations.</p><p>17. To carry out duties associated with emptying of machines and monies on a regular basis, i.e. gaming machines and pool tables. The counting of monies in accordance with financial procedures.</p><p>18. Responsible for maintaining Health and Safety Standards within the bowling alley in accordance with legal and BPL requirements as applicable to the premises, equipment, other staff and customers.</p><p>19. Expected to keep documentation in relation to lost and found property.</p><p>20. Date: ………………………………………….</p><p>4 of 5 June 2011 POSITION: Bowling Alley Attendant – Metrodome Leisure Complex</p><p>Information to Candidates on Employment Terms and Conditions</p><p>The following details outlining some of the main Terms and Conditions of Employment are for information only. They do not constitute a contractual agreement. A full Contract of Employment will be issued to the successful applicant on appointment.</p><p>1. Working Hours</p><p>The normal hours of work will be 13.75 hours per week. Hours may also include evenings, weekends and bank holidays to be worked to suit the needs of the service. </p><p>2. Holidays</p><p>There are 20 days annual leave from 1 April to 31 March each year plus 8 Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time staff). Staff appointed part way through a holiday year will receive a proportionate entitlement.</p><p>3. Salary</p><p>The rate of pay will be up to £7.50 per hour (depending on age).</p><p>4. Probationary Period</p><p>All new appointments are subject to a probationary period of 6 months during which time suitability for the position appointed will be assessed.</p><p>5. Pension</p><p>There is eligibility to join the BPL Friends Life Pension Scheme.</p><p>6. Notice Period</p><p>The notice period that will operate on both sides to terminate the Contract will be one month or, on the employer side, one week for every year of service (to a maximum of 12 weeks) if this is greater.</p><p>7.
