Homework passes may not be used. Please feel free to turn in the assignment as soon as it is complete. Articles must cover a science related topic. All current event summaries should be completed in the science notebook. </p><p>Grading Criteria/Requirements</p><p>10 pts Copy of the Article: It must be glued in the science notebook with the summary.</p><p>10 pts Article Length/Content: The article you are summarizing must contain at least 3 substantial paragraphs and be science related.</p><p>50 pts Summary Paragraph: Introduction – 10 pts Supporting Details with specific facts from the article – 30 pts Conclusion – 10 pts</p><p>20 pts Mechanics: Capitalization, Punctuation, Sentence Structure, Spelling, Handwriting – 4 pts each</p><p>10 pts Written in student’s own words</p>
