<p>Job Description:</p><p>Skokie Country Club is looking for a Men's Grill Supervisor. We are seeking an individual with a very strong commitment to service, who has had formal training in the service industry. This individual will lead a team of several employees and be expected to maintain a very high level of service standards. We are looking for someone who will bring energy, new ideas and a positive, motivating attitude to the position. The ideal candidate will be proven in this type of role and have a demonstrated ability to implement the Club's vision. The Men’s Grill Supervisor will report directly to the Assistant General Manager. </p><p>Scope of Responsibility:</p><p>Knows the formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies and procedures including; some familiarity of other departments within the club. The Men’s Grill Supervisor should also sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the various departments of the club.</p><p>Duties: Job Summary (Essential Functions):</p><p> Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of Men’s Grill and surrounding areas</p><p> Ensure the timeliness of food and beverage services in the Men's Grill</p><p> Supervise, train and motivate Grill Staff and Bartenders. </p><p> Manage within budgetary restraints. </p><p> Develop and implement programs to increase the level of service and maximize member satisfaction along with revenues through repeat business </p><p> Actively manage food and beverage service for members and guests in the Men’s Grill</p><p> Maintain order and cleanliness and ensure that member satisfaction standards are consistently attained</p><p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p><p> Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach</p><p> Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds</p><p> Continuous repetitive motions</p><p> Work in hot, humid and noisy environment</p><p>Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED </p><p> A four-year college degree in Hospitality preferred</p><p> Extremely strong communication skills using spoken and written words</p><p> Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and previous experience with POS</p><p> experience in a private club setting strongly preferred</p><p> Basic knowledge of golf operations and golf course etiquette</p><p>Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:</p><p> Lead by example </p><p> Responsible for management of the dining room and bar service in the men's lounge</p><p> Excellent organizational and follow-through skills</p><p> Maintains an extremely high level of member contact throughout service hours and ensures that staff does the same</p><p> Works hand in hand with the golf pro shop operation from a communication and service aspect, to maximize the opportunity for the seamless continuity of service between the two departments</p><p> Knowledge of, and ability to perform, required role during emergency situations</p><p> Ability to demonstrate proper wine and beverage service</p><p>Licenses and Special Permits:</p><p> Alcoholic Beverage Certification</p><p> Food Safety Certification</p><p> AED/CPR Certification – Preferred</p><p>All interested applicants please send your resume as an attachment to:</p><p>Derek Sidley Assistant General Manager Skokie Country Club [email protected] </p>
