<p> The Shepherd's Hear the Good News</p><p>A Christmas Play</p><p>Cast: Shepherd 1, Shepherd 2, Narrator, Angel, Multitude of Angels</p><p>Scene 1 - The shepherds are in their fields at night</p><p>Shepherds - "Baa, baa" Make sheep sounds</p><p>Narrator - "On a hillside just outside of Bethlehem, some shepherds were guarding their sheep one night.</p><p>Scene 2 - Angels Appear - Large angel comes down from the sky</p><p>Shepherd 1 - "Look!"</p><p>Shepherd 2 - "What is it?" (scared)</p><p>Angel 1 - "Don't be afraid. I have good news for you. This very day in Bethlehem, a Saviour was born for you. He is Christ the Lord. You will find the baby wrapped in cloth lying in a manger.</p><p>Scene 3 - Multitude of Angels - Lots of angels come down from the sky</p><p>Multitude of Angels appear (start Music)</p><p>Everyone - "Glory to God in the highest heavens and peace on Earth.</p><p>Scene 4 - Shepherds go to find the Baby</p><p>The shepherds move up and down as the backdrop is moved behind them.</p><p>Narrator - "The Shepherds ran to Bethlehem and found the baby as the angels had described. The shepherds told everyone what had happened and what they saw that night and praised God for sending his Son as he had promised. Walk, walk walk.”</p><p>Scene 2 – In Bethlehem, Mary and Joseph stay in a stable</p><p>Narrator – “Mary and Joseph looked for a place to stay in Bethlehem, but there was no room at the inn.”</p><p>Joseph – “Knock knock knock.”</p><p>Innkeeper – “No room!”</p><p>Mary – “Knock knock knock.”</p><p>Innkeeper – “No room!”</p><p>Mary and Joseph walk into a stable. You will find the baby wrapped in cloth lying in a manger.</p><p>Scene 5 – Multitude of Angels - Lots of angels come down from the sky</p><p>Multitude of Angels appear (start music, sing a song: “One Llittle Angel”)</p><p>Everyone – “Glory to God in the highest heavens and peace on Earth.”</p><p>Scene 6 – Shepherds go to find the Baby</p><p>Sheperd 3 – “Let’s go to Bethlehem.”</p><p>Sheperds together – “Let’s go!”</p><p>Sheperds make running motions, and walk to the stable.</p><p>Narrator - "The Shepherds ran to Bethlehem and found the baby as the angels had described.
